Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Essential Functions) Ensure high standards of customer service are applied at all times Transport clients to and from group and occasional appointments Be aware of and follow all safety practices/risk assessments at all times Attend any relevant team meetings and/or training to support continued professional development Effective time management skills Ability to be flexible and work as part of a team Understanding of working in a confidential manner Transport passengers in a safe and responsible manner Ensure that vehicles are cleaned on a regular basis (inside and out) Inspect the vehicle daily and report any defects or damage to supervisor; as well as coordinate all maintenance of vehicles in a timely manner Open and effective communication with Lead Transportation Specialist, Clinical staff and Nursing staff to coordinate effective and efficient transportation for clients Adherence to Northstar Transportation Services policies and procedures Strong observational skills - pay attention to clients and have the ability to take control of any situation Ensure all passengers in the vehicle are compliant, safe and nonvolatile Remain responsible for company gas cards and receipts Ensure vehicles have a minimum of a half a tank of gas by end of day Maintain proper boundaries with clients Ensure first aid kit and emergency kits are fully stocked Perform secretarial duties in between transports Ensure site cleanliness All other duties as assigned by the Lead Transportation Specialist and/or Director of Outpatient Requirements First Aid / CPR Certified or willing to become certified within 30 days of hire Must be 21 years or older High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Must have a driver's license Acceptable driving record Substance free for at least 2 years
Responsibilities
The Outpatient Technician is responsible for transporting clients to appointments and ensuring high standards of customer service. They must also maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety, and communicate effectively with team members.
