We are seeking a passionate Full-time Outpatient Therapist to join our team at our East Liberty, PA, location and help bring this vision to life through high-quality substance use treatment services. GRC offers supervision for licensure to all eligible therapists as part of your employment. Participates in developing the patient’s treatment plan and outcomes in cooperation with the treatment team. Provides direct therapeutic services consisting of individual, group, and/or family therapy dependent on the patient's needs. Makes ongoing assessments regarding the patient’s progress in treatment and revises the treatment plan according to patient needs. Completes clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Establishes and maintains contact and relationships with referral sources related to patient caseload. Plans for continuing care of patient and makes appropriate referrals. Monitors and completes insurance authorizations for patient caseload. Provides referrals for additional care or services when required Achieves and maintains expected productivity of 50% on an ongoing basis. Participates in regular supervision with the manager and seeks out additional supervision as needed. Adheres to all applicable provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). Adheres to the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS), Department of Public Welfare (DPW), and Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) regulations. Completes mandatory orientation and annual training programs; completes applicable attendance documentation. Provides coverage for other programs as needed. Performs other similar and related duties as necessary and/or as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and other professionals. Understands the nature of addiction, including its psychological, physiological, and social aspects. Ability to conduct thorough assessments to diagnose substance use disorders and/or co-occurring conditions. Ability to provide individual and/or group therapy to help patients understand their addiction and develop coping strategies. Skilled at analyzing complex situations and making sound decisions regarding treatment and intervention strategies. Has the capacity to manage personal stress and maintain professionalism in challenging situations. Ability to uphold strict confidentiality to protect patients’ privacy. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree with 1 year experience in a behavioral health environment. Additional Requirements Pass a PA Criminal Background Check Obtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances Pass Drug Screen 2-Step TB Test Obtain CPR/First Aid Certification Work Conditions Favorable working conditions. Minimal physical demands. Significant mental demands include those associated with treating patients with substance use and co-occurring disorders.
Responsibilities
The Outpatient Therapist provides direct therapeutic services, including individual, group, and family therapy, while developing treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team. They also monitor patient progress and ensure accurate clinical documentation.
