Job Details Job Location: SAINT LOUIS, MO 63146 Summary: Enhance the services provided by psychiatrists in the Outpatient Psychiatric clinic. Outpatient Therapist will increase the efficacy of psychiatric care by providing therapy to patients and their families, provide case management services to help families access needed resources. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide individual and family therapy as indicated to families referred by OPS psychiatrists. Complete initial assessment, treatment plan, and treatment plan updates in EMR. Keep up-to-date, accurate progress notes in EMR. Responsible for being trauma aware, sensitive, and responsive to youth, families, and colleagues through the completion of new hire and annual trauma informed education and training. Complete outcome measures as delineated. Function as part of the psychiatric team, communicating with physicians regarding treatment and progress of patients. Function as liaison with collateral members of child's team such as; teachers, school counselors, pediatricians, etc. to gather pertinent information for treatment. Help to create and sustain a System-of-Care with pediatricians to allow patients to move from psychiatrist to pediatrician's care in either direction, depending on stability and needs. Develop and present psycho-educational presentations. Other duties as assigned. Must be licensed to practice therapy in the State of Missouri. At least two years therapy experience post licensure. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals and articles. Ability to write professional reports and case notes is required. Ability to speak coherently with clients and to model effective communication is necessary. Must be able to effectively present information to public groups.
Responsibilities
The Outpatient Therapist will provide therapy to patients and their families, enhancing psychiatric care. They will also complete assessments, treatment plans, and collaborate with the psychiatric team and other professionals involved in the child's care.
