Our Outpatients Department & Day Medical Centre at Northern Beaches Hospital is looking for a friendly experienced Administration Team Leader member for a full-time role Monday- Friday.

As a Team Leader your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, organise and support ward clerks in Outpatients and Day Medical Centre
  • Manage and oversee administrative functions, efficiency and team success
  • Rostering- including covering sick, holiday leave & recruitment
  • Evaluate team performance- conduct performance reviews
  • Conflict resolution - guide your team and handle challenging enquires with patients and stakeholders in a friendly and professional manner
  • Ensure bookings, referrals and waitlists are efficiently managed, while being responded to in a timely manner
  • Maintain a high standard of patient information data collection and processing of medical records
  • Liase with clinical staff for management of clinics
  • Liaison with other areas of the hospital for correct patient admissions and appointments
  • Ensure management of patient electronic records for the privacy and confidentiality of patient information
  • Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures
  • Plan & coordinate team meetings & sharing of information
  • Undertaking general administration duties

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong team management and conflict management skills
  • Experience in an administration of acute patient focused healthcare facility/hospital,
  • Highly developed interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary work environments,
  • Good computer literacy & sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • A track record of providing great service and customer experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal communication and report writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • WebPas Hospital system experience (Desired)
