Description 1. Full-Time — Outreach & Admissions Counselor Location: Oklahoma City, OK Schedule: Full-Time Open to qualified candidates. Responsible for managing outreach, recruitment, and admissions activities within the Oklahoma City service area. 2. Part-Time — Outreach & Admissions Counselor Location: Lawton–Duncan–Marlow, OK Area Schedule: 20–25 hours per week Eligibility: Open to Former Job Corps Students Only Supports recruitment and outreach efforts within the assigned region, leveraging personal experience with Job Corps to engage and mentor prospective students. 3. Part-Time — Outreach & Admissions Counselor Location: Lawton, OK Schedule: 20–25 hours per week Eligibility: Open to Active Reservists E4 or higher and Veterans Only Focuses on outreach and recruitment within the Lawton area, with emphasis on engaging veteran and military-connected populations. Duties/Responsibilities: · Conduct innovative outreach activities with public service agencies, community organizations, schools, and individuals who might refer eligible candidates to the Job Corps program. · Interview interested candidates and obtained pertinent information on each one. · Prepare documentation on potential students and review with the center as applicable or necessary. · Maintain monthly goals established by the PRH and management. · Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports. · Arrange for and assist in providing pre-enrollment orientation, schedule tours of the center. · Prepare necessary and required reports related to the outreach. · Assist in the development of new and revised policies and procedures affecting student recruitment. · Create network with youth development agencies, one-stop agencies, churches, and community organizations to provide a wide base for recruiting potential students. · Introduce labor market information to help with the career transition process and analyze local labor market career paths. · Participate in student employability programs and activities. · Support, promote, and enforce the Job Corps' Zero Tolerance Policy. · Promote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions. · Maintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practices. · Other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: · Presents information both clearly and concisely and regularly confirms the correct interpretation of information. · Very high standard of communication skills both written and oral for the presentation of facts and ideas. · Written communication must be clear, concise, and easy to read and comprehend. · Organization of Work · Demonstrates the ability to handle several projects simultaneously. · Implements the key principles of time management, task allocation, and priority assignment in addition to personal organization. · Continually seek ways to improve the service provided via the development of professional skills and personal growth. · Initiates and responds to suggestions for improving service. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Education & Experience · Minimum of two (2) years of related experience. Experience may include Job Corps outreach and admissions or similar work with youth development programs. · Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or a closely related field. OR · Associate’s degree in a related field with two (2) years of relevant experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid State Driver’s License.
