The Outreach and Engagement Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Director with oversight of CASA-Trinity’s Outreach and Engagement programs and initiatives (SOR, PES, Connections2Care, NMT, Peer Services, Recovery Centers, SCN, Food Banks, etc.) within their assigned locations. Under the auspices of the Director of Outreach and Engagement, the Outreach and Engagement Coordinator serves as a direct support staff for monitoring and reporting Outreach and engagement efforts and will participate in the development of future outreach and engagement and community response programs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Introductory level knowledge of the principles and practices of planning, organizing and supervising community mental health and/or substance use disorder programs.
· In cooperation with Human Resources, recruit, select, manage, support, train, develop and evaluate staff in accordance with applicable laws and agency policies.
· Introductory level knowledge of leadership and training skills to manage and motivate staff and the ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships with employees, vendors, clients, visitors, and outside agencies.
· Ability to develop reports and proposals including ability to accurately audit records and ensure compliance within written or oral guidelines.
· Ability to collect and analyze data and apply results to program design and implementation.
· Advanced knowledge of behavioral health conditions and their effects on the individual and family members including human behavior, attitudes, and motivations and their applicability in the treatment/rehabilitation of the individual.
· Introductory level knowledge of behavioral health counseling and treatment principles, practices, and techniques.
· Knowledge of resources available to individuals with behavioral health conditions.
· Ability to accurately oversee and audit documentation of services, treatment records, and reports utilizing computer databases and software programs including proficiency with spreadsheets.
· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, and the general public.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling or other related field is preferred and at least 2 years of experience in behavioral healthcare setting. Requires a valid driver’s license with no more than 4 points and no moving violations within the past 6 months.
