You will participate in the SURE/Informed Citizenry project as an Outreach Intern under Children & Reading. [What you will be working on] Conduct research, propose and recommend solutions, create social media content and design collaterals, such as activity worksheets and brochures. Assist in programme outreach and pitch programme design to the management Develop new programme concepts and materials related to information literacy and reading Involve in day-to-day operational work, events and project management [What we are looking for] Open to students from all disciplines; students with a background in Mass Communications/Journalism/Current Affairs/Public Education/Arts and design/History/Geography are particularly encouraged to apply. Individuals with: Research and content creation skills - ability to develop engaging educational materials and digital content for diverse age groups from young children to seniors Creative design and communication abilities - talent for creating visually appealing collaterals, activity worksheets, and innovative engagement formats that resonate with different audiences Public engagement and interpersonal skills - comfortable interacting with members of the public, facilitating community programmes, and supporting outreach events across various demographics Digital literacy and collaborative mindset - understanding of social media and online safety concepts, with willingness to support team activities and adapt to different programme formats Must be proficient in both usage and content creation on social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram and Facebook). Familiar with image editing/design tools such as free-to-use Canva or equivalent. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
