START DATE: SEPTEMBER 2025

Elementa is recruiting for Learning Support Assistants/Mentors, for a range of specialist provisions in the Redland area of Bristol. These provisions support children that may have been excluded from mainstream school, or that have specific learning needs, that make it hard for them to succeed in a mainstream school.
The children you will be working with have faced a variety of challenges and difficulties in their lives, meaning they often dis-regulate and display challenging behaviour. The candidates we are looking for will have a strong background in a similar setting, or have experience in youth support and mentoring, and be able to create strong relationships and be able relate to the difficulties the children face.
This role will be a mixture of in setting support and also taking learners to external activities, such as sports clubs, gyms and similar. This does mean a driving licence and business insurance is essential for the role (travel expenses will be subsidised). You would be working on 1:1 basis with the learner, including picking them up from home each morning and taking them home again at the end of the day.
