Job Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
The NUS Graduate School (NUSGS) is seeking a dynamic and motivated Outreach Executive / Specialist to help lead global recruitment efforts for our prestigious PhD program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and attracting top, highly qualified applicants from around the world. This role emphasizes physical outreach, event organization, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven marketing strategies. The candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate excellent communication, cultural awareness, and social media marketing expertise.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Global Recruitment and Outreach
a. Organize and execute local and overseas recruitment events to attract top-tier PhD applicants.
b. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including university leaders, administrators, and faculty locally and worldwide.
c. Identify and engage with appropriate institutions, organizations, and individuals to strengthen the program’s global presence.
2. Event Management
a. Plan and manage logistics for recruitment events, ensuring seamless execution.
b. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet event objectives.
c. Track and analyze event outcomes, providing actionable insights for improvement.
3. Social Media and Digital Marketing
a. Develop and implement targeted social media campaigns to reach potential PhD candidates.
b. Identify the most effective social media platforms for outreach and engagement.
c. Build and maintain a strong social media presence to amplify program visibility.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting
a. Collect, analyze, and interpret data from recruitment events and campaigns to measure success and identify trends.
b. Generate reports with recommendations to enhance marketing strategies and outreach activities.
5. Stakeholder Engagement
a. Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including prospective students, university colleagues, and faculty leaders.
b. Foster productive partnerships with local and international academic institutions.
c. Act as a key liaison to ensure seamless communication and coordination for recruitment initiatives.
6. Communications and Branding
a. Develop compelling, culturally appropriate messaging to resonate with diverse audiences.
b. Represent the PhD program at events, conferences, and other outreach activities with professionalism and enthusiasm.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- Experience:
o Track record in outreach, recruitment, or marketing roles.
o Experience in social media marketing, including platform-specific strategies and audience targeting.
o Event management and stakeholder engagement experience.
o Familiarity with higher education marketing and student recruitment preferred.
o Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
- Skills:
o Strong written and oral communication skills.
o Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
o Cultural awareness and ability to adapt communication for diverse audiences.
o Highly organized with excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Attributes:
o Self-motivated, resourceful, and results-oriented.
