Description JOB SUMMARY The Outreach Specialist at Ellenville Regional Hospital plays a vital role in promoting our healthcare services, strengthening relationships within the community, and supporting the hospital’s Rural Health Network (RHN) initiatives. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and attending community events, executing marketing strategies, and providing administrative and outreach support for RHN-related programs. They will collaborate closely with the Marketing Department, RHN staff, local organizations, and community leaders to raise awareness about hospital and RHN services, while also managing digital content, outreach schedules, and mobile health event logistics. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, highly organized, tech-savvy, and passionate about enhancing the health and well-being of our rural and underserved populations. SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Plan, coordinate, and attend community events, health fairs, school functions, and outreach activities to promote hospital and RHN programs. Coordinate and manage information tables, booths, and displays at various events. Represent Ellenville Regional Hospital and the RHN professionally and enthusiastically at all community engagements. Develop and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, businesses, and local leaders. Assist in organizing and facilitating community health education workshops and seminars. Collect community feedback and event data to inform future programming. Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and implement outreach strategies that align with hospital goals and RHN objectives. Design and distribute marketing materials including flyers, brochures, social media content, and digital campaigns using tools such as Canva. Support the creation and management of events and posts for hospital and RHN Facebook pages. Help ensure consistent branding and messaging across outreach materials and platforms. Respond to general RHN inquiries via phone (RHN extension) and email. Maintain and update the general RHN outreach schedule and records for reporting. Track and assist with data reporting related to RHN deliverables, especially the HEAL Project. Support supply management for outreach and RHN events, including ordering and inventory. Drive the Medical Van to ERH events, ensure proper transport and setup of outreach equipment, participate in marketing/outreach events. Participate in logistical planning and support for both in-person and mobile outreach efforts. Experience in event coordination, marketing, public health, or related community-facing roles preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, and social media platforms Ability to drive a van and transport outreach equipment (must have a valid driver’s license).
