Description

ABOUT THE PRESTON OUTREACH TEAM

We work with care leavers, asylum seekers, NHS patients, and families, providing comprehensive support within the community.
For young care leavers, our focus is on facilitating a smooth transition into adulthood, empowering them with essential independence skills. This includes preparing them to take on a tenancy or move into social housing, enabling them to confidently live on their own.
In the case of Separated Children, we assist in their settlement process, help navigate immigration procedures, support their integration into college life, facilitate access to healthcare services, and ultimately guide them towards complete independence.
For adult NHS referrals dealing with complex mental health issues, our dedicated team provides community-based support. We work closely to address their specific needs and contribute to their overall well-being within the community setting.
Due to the areas this role covers a car driver with a vehicle is essential.

At Bedspace, we are committed to safeguarding and protecting children and adults in our work. This role involves working closely with children and is therefore exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. As part of our recruitment, selection, and appointment processes we conduct a range of vetting checks including Enhanced DBS and reference checks, to ensure that only those who are suitable to work with children and those we care for and support are appointed.
If successfully appointed references will be taken for all roles where you have worked with adults and children; and additionally, a full work history needs to be included in your CV with explanations for any gaps.
