JOB TITLE: OUTREACH TEACHER – LONG-TERM PLACEMENT (MANCHESTER)

Spencer Clarke Group are currently working in partnership with a supportive and forward-thinking special school in the Manchester area to recruit an experienced and passionate Outreach Teacher for a long-term placement starting in September 2025.
About the Role:
This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated teacher to work in an outreach capacity, supporting pupils who are currently unable to attend mainstream education. The role involves delivering personalised education programmes in various settings, including homes, community centres, or designated outreach venues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to pupils with diverse learning needs.
  • Work one-to-one or with small groups, adapting your teaching style to suit individual needs.
  • Collaborate with school staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure continuity and support.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, engagement, and outcomes.
  • Promote positive behaviour and a safe learning environment at all times.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH, SEND, or those at risk of exclusion is highly desirable.
  • A flexible, patient, and nurturing approach.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential for outreach delivery).
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
