Description
Position: 1st class Outside Machinist Job Location: Pascagoula, MS Hutco Branch: Moss Point, MS Rate of Pay: $40.00 per hour and $147.00 per-diem for those who qualify Description: Installs, aligns, and repairs ship machinery such as propelling machinery, auxiliary motors, pumps, ventilating equipment, steering gear, laundry and galley equipment, working from blueprints and using hand tools, calipers, and micrometers, lays out passage holes on bulkheads, decks, and other surfaces for connection such as shafting and steam lines. Align reduction gears, bearing, shafting, propellers, and rudder and steering engine assemblies. Requirements: * Minimum of 4 or more years experience as an outside machinist. * Prior shipyard 4 years or more of shipyard experience as an outside machinist * Must be able to pass drug screen (HFT) and background check.
