Description

Description Duties include but are not limited to: Semi-skill level in all outside machinist duties. Assembles, repairs, and overhauls mechanical equipment. Assembles parts into sub-units or complete units. Uses basic blueprints, tech manuals and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Supervision: Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. Education: May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to meet certain certifications in field and to have at least 0-2 years of experience. Note: A Level III Outside Machinist should own his/her own basic hand tools for working on machinery components and sub-systems.
