    We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Program Manager at our Nelson Park School to lead the OSHC program in a specialist school setting. This role is a key part of the Victorian Government’s High Intensity OSHC initiative (find out more at: High Intensity Outside School Hours Care Initiative for students with disabilities | vic.gov.au). The service is fully funded by the Victorian Government and operates at a high staff to child ratios to appropriately meet the needs of each participant (approximately 1 educator for every 2 children).
    If you are experienced in the early childhood, OSHC and/or disability support sectors and passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families, this role is for you.
    About The Role:
    Have the opportunity to help lead the OSHC service and support local families by providing quality before and after school care and holiday programs for their child in a specialist school setting
    Help Plan and prepare child focused programs for school aged children in a specialist school setting
    High staff to student ratio to ensure every child’s individual needs are met (1:2, 1:1, 2:1)
    Foster a positive team culture through coaching, training, and reflective practice
    Rostering for your service with support from your Area Manager
    Manage compliance documents and other administrative tasks
    Liaise with families, school teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure individualised care
    Career development and progression pathways.

  • Confidence in behavioural management for children with high and complex needs
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills

Requirements:

In line with sector regulations, the following compliance documentation will be required for the role:

  • Completed or in the process of completing an ACECQA recognised qualification, including but not limited to, studies in Teaching, Childcare or Community Services. For the full list of ACECQA recognised qualifications in your state, please visit www.acecqa.gov.au
  • Must be available to work during service hours: 2:00pm - 6:00pm and during school holiday periods (8:30am - 5.30pm)
  • Employee Working with Children Check valid in Victoria
  • Valid First Aid Certificate including CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training
  • Child Protection Training / Mandatory Reporting
  • Willing to obtain National Criminal History Check
