Jergens offers employees · Competitive compensation · Comprehensive insurance benefits package (including medical, dental and vision coverage as well as company paid life insurance and disability) · Tuition reimbursement · Fun staff events and activities · 401k plan with profit sharing · Paid vacation time starting at 13 days · 11 paid holidays Reporting to: Production Supervisor Responsibilities • Has a basic understanding of our company’s policies and procedures and the company’s customers, products and services. seeks assistance, as necessary with unfamiliar situations. • Processes and pulls the correct material for orders and transfers properly for shipment using a variety of hand and powered tools, as needed. • Loads, unloads and transports materials, products and supplies in and out of the production area using both powered and non-powered equipment, as necessary. • Completes the required paperwork for intra-company transfers or shipments to customers or vendors. • Deliver products to local customers. • Receives in and stock material and components. • Inventory counting and order pulling. • Investigates and resolves inventory errors. • Assures dispatch lists are being followed daily. • Coordinates with planners and work center staffing daily for changes to the production schedules. • Assures inventory counts are accurate. • Assures component and manufacturing orders are pulled promptly and accurately. • Organizes and maintains pallet racks, bins and material location in an orderly and safe manner. • Maintains and stocks assorted supplies and issues requisitions to supervisor in a timely manner when supplies are low. • Communicates effectively with internal company partners regarding the status of the production schedule and the need for any changes, and to effectively develop solutions to any scheduling issues. Seeks assistance, as necessary, to resolve more complex issues in an effective manner. • Keeps the supervisor aware in a timely manner of any issues needing the supervisor’s involvement. • Maintains timely and accurate records and reports, as required. • Observes good housekeeping and safety habits. Requirements • High school education is required. Has the necessary training to be proficient in the position. • Previous experience in material handling, logistics, or warehouse operations or has demonstrated the skills and ability to be an effective employee with the company. • Valid driver’s license with a clean and verifiable driving record. • Prior experience to safely operate company vehicles, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment. • Has excellent communications and interpersonal skills to be able to interact effectively with vendors and internal company resources to meet customer needs. • Ability to perform basic math calculations such as decimal/fraction conversions and reading measuring tools. • Has basic computer skills and is proficient with all related company systems and programs. • Has basic analytical and problem-solving abilities to meet the requirements of the position. • Effective time management skills in prioritizing and addressing multiple and at times conflicting demands. • High energy with a sense of urgency in responding to customer needs. • High level of personal and professional integrity. • Is committed to the company’s values. • Attention to detail in maintaining required records and reports.
