Job Title: Construction Equipment Outside Sales Representative

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Regional Construction Equipment Outside Sales Representative to cover the Omaha Nebraska territory. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, promoting and selling a wide range of construction equipment, and achieving sales targets. This role requires a self-starter with excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of the construction industry, and the ability to thrive in a field-based position. In this role, you will be responsible for managing sales for parts, service, new and used equipment, as well as equipment rentals and maintenance contracts. If you have knowledge or a passion for Heavy Duty Equipment sales, come and join our team and help grow our business. A company supplied vehicle, cell phone and laptop will be provided with this position.
PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE & REPRESENTATION:
- Represent a wide range of leading product lines with the primary focus on Atlas Copco, Taylor Power, HIPOWER generators, and Liebherr Construction equipment. Also, promoting our other product lines, Detroit, Allison, MTU, Volvo Penta Industrial, Perkins and Deutz.
- Stay informed on product developments and industry trends to provide accurate information and recommendations to customers.
CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:
- Develop and manage a portfolio of customers, actively seeking out new opportunities while maintaining existing relationships.
- Use Interstate Power Systems tools to track sales activity, customer interactions, and follow-up actions.
- Collaboration with Parts, and Maintenance Teams:
- Collaborate with the parts, and maintenance departments to ensure customer requests are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate with internal teams to track order fulfillment, service completion, and inventory levels.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience in sales, particularly in parts and service or heavy equipment industries.
- Knowledge of off-highway equipment, specifically construction equipment.
- Familiarity with the listed product lines (Detroit, Allison, MTU, Atlas Copco, Liebherr, Volvo Penta Industrial, Perkins and Deutz) is a strong asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed. Minimal overnight travel required.
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
- Ability and willingness to be on-call for customer emergencies.
