Lignum Recruitment is supporting a leading construction and industrial services provider in their search for an Outside Sales Representative to join their growing team. Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue bid opportunities within your assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, developers, manufacturers, architects, and public sector clients.
  • Actively track and manage opportunities through Salesforce (and other lead platforms), ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Conduct site visits to gather information needed to prepare accurate and competitive pricing proposals.
  • Work closely with sales and construction managers to develop bids, cost estimates, equipment and material lists, and project requirements.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure contracts, project controls, billing, and change orders are managed efficiently.
  • Support site teams at project start-up to ensure clear direction and smooth mobilization.
  • Drive prequalification with new customers and secure placement on bidder lists.
  • Identify upsell opportunities across a broad portfolio of access solutions and related products.
  • Provide regular sales activity reports to management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in outside sales within scaffolding, access solutions, or broader construction services.
  • Strong estimating and cost analysis background, ideally with experience in scaffold or access projects.
  • Previous use of Salesforce (or similar CRM) in a construction environment.
  • Solid understanding of the construction industry, ideally with direct hands-on site or supervisory experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and general technical competency.
  • Engineering, drafting, or construction estimating background is advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Civil Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
