EDUCATION:

  • Post secondary is a strong asset.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Comfortable with 60% travel across AB & BC, with flexibility for additional out-of-province trips as needed.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3 years in outside sales with a proven record of exceeding targets.
  • Industry knowledge in doors, gates, and automation products is required; experience with installations in this field is considered a strong asset.

SKILLS:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-driven and highly organized.
  • Strong negotiation and closing ability.
  • Detail-oriented with solid follow-up habits.
  • Goal-focused and persistent – a true “hunter” mindset.

Base Salary: $70,000 – 80,000 base salary

  • Commission on sales.
  • Full benefits package included.
  • Work related travel & gas expenses covered.
Responsibilities

The key job functions are:

  • Prospect & Generate Leads: Identify new opportunities, research potential clients, and build a robust pipeline.
  • Develop New Business: Create relationships with decision-makers, convert prospects into customers, and win market share from competitors.
  • Manage the Sales Cycle: Schedule meetings, present solutions, prepare proposals, negotiate terms, and close deals.
  • Territory Management: Plan and manage travel throughout Alberta and British Columbia (with occasional trips to Saskatchewan and Manitoba).
  • Account Growth: Maintain and grow repeat business through exceptional service and follow-up.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to position products effectively.
  • Product Expertise: Build a strong understanding of the company’s doors, gates, and automation products to provide tailored solutions.
  • Customer Support Coordination: Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth installations and post-sale support.
