Description Job Summary for Outside Sales Representative We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to drive territory growth, dealer engagement, and consignment volume within the automotive auction industry. This field-based sales role is responsible for developing new dealer relationships, growing existing accounts, increasing digital auction participation, and serving as a trusted advisor to dealership partners. The ideal candidate has experience in outside sales, business development, account management, or territory sales and thrives in a relationship-focused environment. This position requires regular travel throughout the assigned territory to meet with dealers, conduct product demonstrations, provide training, and identify growth opportunities. Rewards for Outside Sales Representative $52,000 - $62,000 starting base salary + monthly commission Total annual compensation is up to $85k+ $500.00 per month car allowance Company credit card for gas & expenses $75.00 monthly cell phone stipend Monday - Friday 9-5 Great benefits & paid time off Matching 401(k) Career growth potential Leading & growing international auction company Key Responsibilities for Outside Sales Representative Develop and grow a territory of automotive dealers, consignors, and industry partners through strategic business development and account management activities. Generate new business by prospecting, networking, attending industry events, and building referral partnerships. Conduct in-person dealership visits to promote auction services, increase consignment activity, and drive auction participation. Identify opportunities to expand customer engagement with digital auction platforms and technology-enabled solutions. Reactivate inactive and low-engagement accounts through targeted outreach and account recovery strategies. Deliver product demonstrations, onboarding support, and training sessions to help customers maximize digital auction tools. Build and maintain strong relationships with dealership owners, general managers, used car managers, buyers, and other key decision-makers. Collaborate with Auction Operations, Customer Service, and internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and successful execution of customer needs. Maintain accurate CRM records, including customer interactions, opportunities, pipeline activity, and sales forecasts. Monitor territory performance and track key metrics related to revenue growth, account retention, customer engagement, and digital adoption. Represent the company professionally at auction events, dealer meetings, trade shows, and community activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities for Outside Sales Representative: Demonstrates strong business development and relationship-based selling skills. Communicates professionally and effectively with dealership owners, executives, and decision-makers. Applies strong organization, territory planning, and pipeline discipline to manage multiple accounts and priorities. Demonstrates confidence delivering product demos and explaining digital tools to diverse customer audiences. Uses sound judgment to resolve customer issues and build long-term account relationships. Collaborates effectively with internal departments to ensure customer commitments align with operational execution. Maintains strong customer service orientation with accountability and follow-through. Uses CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word) proficiently. Ability to travel locally and regionally for dealer visits, meetings, and field engagement activities. Education and Experience for Outside Sales Representative: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. At least three (3) years of experience in outside sales, account management, business development, or territory sales. At least one (1) year of experience in automotive, auctions, dealerships, fleet/lease, wholesale, or related industries preferred.
