Cascadia Windows & Doors is an innovative industry leader specializing in energy-efficient architectural fiberglass window systems and cladding attachment technologies. Our products are shipped to major construction projects throughout North America. As a vital member of our Sales Team, the Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales growth in Canada and US East with our cladding attachment products specifically and looking for opportunities for our fiberglass window systems.
Reporting to the Director of Business Development, this role will collaborate with Sales Representatives and Independent Rep Agencies to achieve sales objectives through effective sales support, quote and order processing, inventory management, follow-up activities, and project tracking. Working closely with the sales and marketing teams, the Outside Sales Representative plays a key role in expanding and developing our business.
We are ideally looking for someone based in Ontario, specifically in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), for this role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-4 years of previous work experience in outside sales or customer service, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and working with an ERP/CRM system is advantageous.
  • Self-driven and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Interest or experience in the construction industry is an asset.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing organization is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and target past and potential clients in the construction industry, including architects, developers, general contractors, and cladding and roofing installers, for presentations and site trainings.
  • Responsible for Eastern CAN and US markets with a focus on growth in the cladding attachment business.
  • Conduct thorough market research to gain insights into customer needs, preferences, and industry trends.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with targeted customers to drive sales growth.
  • Provide exceptional sales support to outside sales representatives and independent representatives.
  • Collaborate with the head office team to coordinate customer sample requests.
  • Utilize CRM system to manage and cultivate customer relationships, track projects, and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Follow up on leads generated from trade shows and marketing campaigns.
  • Engage in proactive outbound quote follow-up with independent representatives and customers.
  • Conduct prospecting activities to reach out to potential clients and generate additional opportunities for meetings, training, quoting and supplying our products.
  • Coordinate remote and in-person customer training sessions.
  • Travel in the Boston to DC corridor, approximately. 5-7 days per month.
  • Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure customer logistics needs are met.
  • Respond to technical inquiries from customers, designers, engineers, and others, coordinating with our technical team and agents to provide timely and accurate responses.
  • Work with Sales and the Business Development Manager to close on quoted projects and secure contracts.
  • Continuously update product knowledge and stay informed about industry developments.
