Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Outside Sales Representative to join our team in Edmonton, AB. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maximizing sales within Edmonton and the surrounding areas, focusing on the development and maintenance of new and existing customer accounts. Pay Rate: $83,500 - $88,000 per year base Salary + Sales Commission
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday with flexibility for client meetings and travel
Full Time: Permanent position with long-term growth opportunity

WHAT YOU’LL NEED IN ORDER TO QUALIFY:

  • 4+ years of sales/customer service experience in fire protection, industrial, mechanical, or oil & gas sectors
  • Post-secondary education in Sales/Marketing, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, CET, or Fire Protection
  • MUSThave experience with products or components in fire protection/fire suppression
  • Strong business development skills with proven sales results
  • Mechanical aptitude; ability to read blueprints is an asset
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based tools
  • Strong math skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel daily with occasional overnight stays
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Eligibility to travel within and outside of Canada
  • Must speak fluent English
  • Must be Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen – No permit holders at this time
Responsibilities
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, and industry events to build strong relationships with key decision-makers
  • Resolve customer issues by collaborating with inside sales, credit, and warehouse teams
  • Implement strategic follow-ups for ongoing and project-based accounts
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, while providing accurate forecasts and territory reports
  • Coordinate quotes, service inquiries, and customer relations to drive repeat business
  • Plan territory routes and identify new customer acquisition opportunities
  • Monitor client credit activity and report irregularities as needed
  • Participate in trade shows, special sales initiatives, and support order desk functions
  • Stay informed on company products and industry trends
  • Prepare and deliver required sales and performance reports
