Description

Are you a driven, self-motivated sales professional with a passion for building strong client relationships and uncovering growth opportunities? We’re looking for an Outside Sales Representative who has experience (preferably with metals knowledge / background) to join our team and play a key role in expanding revenue and market share within a defined territory.
In this role, you’ll work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure exceptional service, foster lasting partnerships, and identify strategic sales opportunities. You’ll travel within your region, engage virtually with customers, and contribute to the ongoing success of our branch.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Experience in metals industry, commercial / industrial sales a strong asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Adaptable to remote work environments with disciplined focus
  • Excellent communication skills via phone, email, and video conferencing
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proficient with CRM tools and other sales technologies
  • Confidence in presenting KPIs, account updates, and market insights to leadership
  • Willingness to travel within assigned territory
Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts within an assigned geographic territory
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities to expand market share
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records of customer interactions
  • Collaborate with inside sales and support teams to deliver superior customer service
  • Prepare quotations and proposals for management approval
  • Address customer concerns and ensure prompt, effective resolutions
  • Develop annual marketing plans for key accounts and prospects
  • Monitor industry trends, pricing changes, and competitor activities
  • Regularly participate in industry events (conferences, training seminars, etc.)
  • Communicate regularly with clients through value-driven messaging
  • Represent the company at industry events and within the community
  • Support inside sales team as needed
  • Uphold company quality policy and corporate values
