Description

IS2 is looking for an Outside Sales Representative for our client in Vanier, Quebec City. The selected candidate will maximize branch sales by prospecting new customers and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. This role is primarily responsible for developing a sales territory, managing our customer accounts, and achieving sales targets.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience specializing in industrial, mechanical, and fire protection products. The candidate will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with our clients. Computer proficiency and bilingualism (French/English) are required.
Salary: $81,500–$86,000 per year
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in customer service, client prospecting, direct B2B sales, and client retention, with basic knowledge of the construction, building mechanics, and fire protection industries.
  • Proven experience in business development.
  • College diploma in Sales/Marketing, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering Technology (CET), or a related field.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read blueprints are an asset.
  • Fluent in both French and English (spoken and written).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain client financial and operational confidentiality.
  • Strong ability to grasp and communicate technical aspects of company products.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and web applications.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, organized, and a good communicator with strong prospecting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Available for daily travel, including occasional travel outside the province.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to meet all travel requirements within and outside of Canada.
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prospect new clients and attend industry events to develop close relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Resolve customer issues and coordinate with internal sales, credit, and warehouse teams.
  • Develop and implement strategies to track and follow up on specific projects.
  • Focus on consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets while providing accurate sales forecasts.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce new products into inventory to meet customer needs.
  • Prepare annual sales forecasts and review sales results with the branch and sales managers to track objectives.
  • Plan meetings by sector to maximize travel efficiency.
  • Identify potential clients by region to optimize deliveries.
  • Participate in industrial trade shows and conduct “lunch & learn” sessions with existing and potential clients.
  • Assist inside sales representatives when needed.
  • Stay updated on company product knowledge.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
