The Garage Door Depot® is Canada’s largest and only “coast to coast” garage door sales, service & installation company. Canadian owned and operated, The Garage Door Depot was founded to give consumers and businesses a professional source for residential & commercial overhead doors, openers, parts, accessories, and services.
WE ARE GROWING, and we are looking for an EXPERIENCED outside sales professional to RUN self-generated and company-provided leads and to CLOSE sales in the residential garage door sales and service field. We will provide qualified, high-quality leads; however, lead generation will need to be augmented by targeting older neighbourhoods where the garage door systems are likely to be in need to replacement/repair.
The ideal candidate will have in-home sales experience and/or come from the residential real estate, window/siding/roofing, home inspection or home improvement industries. You MUST have verifiable and STABLE sales experience. Construction experience and knowledge is a definitive plus. You must also be comfortable with a commission-based income. We will train on the specifics of the industry.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS:

Sales Associates start with a $40,000 base salary and are eligible for commissions on top of the base, as well as a residual income generated from ongoing accounts. Typically $65, 000 - $85,000 is earned in the first year. There are no caps on your total earning potential (with tiered commission rates). You must be a self-starter, one that possesses a strong work ethic, discipline, persuasiveness and is goal-driven to be successful. Exceptional communication, interpersonal and solid presentation skills as well as the ability to develop strong, lasting business relationships are the keys to success in this role. Detail oriented, focused and team player. Most importantly, you MUST have high integrity and always promote our culture of “Customer, then Company, then Self”.
Occasional early evening/weekend work may be required to boost sales/commissions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Business preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year Outside Sales Experience Required (3+ Preferred)
  • Strong competitive and entrepreneurial mindset
  • The ability to generate new clients/accounts through targeted regional sales, knowledge, and diligence.
  • New business to business sales experience preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Goal driven, self-motivated and detail oriented!
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable and presentable transportation required
