The Opportunity:
Become the face of Underwood Ammo in your assigned territory. This is a critical role where you will proactively develop new business, nurture existing relationships, and drive significant revenue growth for our premium ammunition products. You’ll operate autonomously, managing your territory strategically while representing our brand with the highest level of professionalism and integrity.

Responsibilities:
Prospect and Develop: Aggressively identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities with key accounts such as ammunition and firearms retailers, shooting ranges, law enforcement agencies, distributors, and large commercial buyers
Account Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers, ensuring high satisfaction and maximizing account potential
Territory Management: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for your assigned territory to achieve and exceed sales quotas and market share goals
Product Expertise: Become a trusted expert on our full line of ammunition products, providing knowledgeable solutions to meet customer needs
Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals to diverse audiences
Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activity, industry trends, and market conditions, providing feedback to management
Trade Shows and Events: Represent Underwood Ammo at industry trade shows, shooting events, and customer functions
Pipeline Management: Accurately forecast sales and maintain a robust pipeline using our CRM system
Compliance: Ensure all sales activities adhere to company policies and relevant federal, state, and local regulations
Travel: Extensive travel within the assigned territory (typically 50 to 75 percent) is required
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Proven Sales Drive: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of successful outside sales experience, preferably in the firearms, ammunition, sporting goods, or a related B2B industry such as military or industrial sales
Self-Motivation and Initiative: An independent, results-oriented mindset with the ability to self-manage and prioritize effectively with minimal supervision
Reliability and Trustworthiness: Demonstrated integrity, dependability, and the ability to handle sensitive customer and company information confidentially. Must pass a comprehensive background check
Adaptability and Resilience: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, quickly adapting strategies to overcome challenges and seize opportunities
Hunting Mentality: A proactive approach to finding and closing new business, not just maintaining existing accounts
Exceptional Communication: Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and written communication skills
Relationship Builder: Proven ability to build rapport and strong, lasting relationships with diverse clients
Organization and Tech Savvy: Strong organizational skills, proficiency with CRM software such as Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite
Industry Passion: Genuine interest in and understanding of firearms, ammunition, and the shooting sports industry. Existing network within the industry is a significant plus
Valid Driver’s License: Clean driving record required
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, but significant relevant experience will be considered
