Oven Operator – First Shift Job Description Job Title: Oven Operator Location: Houston, TX Department: Bakery Production Reports To: Production Leadership Work Environment: Commercial bakery / food manufacturing environment Hours: Shifts beginning at 4:00 AM and 7:00 AM, Sunday–Thursday. End times may vary based on business needs. TDP Bakery brings fresh, never frozen bakery products to places where they’re not typically found. Through our BakeFace™ brand and partner products, we deliver Honestly Fresh™ baked goods to retailers nationwide. Position Summary TDP Bakery is seeking dependable and motivated Oven Operators to join our Houston bakery team. This role supports daily bakery production by assisting with oven operations and helping ensure fresh, high-quality baked goods are produced safely and efficiently. No experience? No problem. We are willing to train the right candidates who bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities * Support daily oven operations in a fast-paced bakery production environment * Follow food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices standards * Assist with preparing, baking, and handling bakery products as directed * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area * Work as part of a team to meet production goals and daily department needs * Follow instructions from production leadership and communicate any issues promptly * Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications * No prior bakery experience required; training will be provided * Positive attitude and willingness to learn required * Ability to work in a team-oriented production environment * Must have reliable transportation to work daily * Ability to stand for 8+ hours * Ability to bend, grasp, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly * Ability to learn and follow Good Manufacturing Practices * Must be able to provide slip-resistant shoes upon hire * Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide proper documentation * Must be at least 18 years of age Compensation & Benefits * Weekly pay every Friday * Background friendly * Overtime eligibility, including 1.5× pay for hours worked over 40 per week * Pay increase opportunities upon demonstrated mastery of skills * Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance * Paid Time Off * Employee referral bonus program * Employee Assistance Program * Leadership support, coaching, and development * Opportunities for advancement and career growth Additional Information Interested candidates may also apply in person Monday–Friday between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM at: TDP Bakery (formerly The Doughnut Peddler) 10369 West Gulf Bank Rd.
