The OS&D Specialist is responsible for managing and resolving all freight exceptions related to overages, shortages, and damages. This role involves investigating claims, coordinating with carriers, customers and vendors, and ensuring timely and accurate resolution while maintaining positive relationship and minimizing financial loss.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

Responsibilities
  • Receive, review, and process all OS&D reports from carriers, partners, and customers.
  • Investigate discrepancies by gathering shipment details, bills of lading, delivery receipts, and related documentation.
  • Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customers to verify claims and arrange corrective actions.
  • Document and maintain accurate OS&D records in the transportation management system.
  • Coordinate freight recovery, reconsignment, or return arrangements with carriers and customers as required.
  • Work closely with the operations to provide timely updates on claim status.
  • Identify recurring issues and assist in developing corrective actions to reduce OS&D occurrences.
  • Ensure all OS&D claims are resolved in compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
