Equipment Transport · Safely transport heavy machinery, construction equipment, and oversized loads using RGN trailers. · Operate truck and trailer in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. · Ensure accurate pickup and delivery of equipment at customer locations or company branches. · Inspect loads to ensure proper placement and securement. 2. Load Securement & Safety · Perform thorough load securement using chains, binders, straps, and blocking as required. · Conduct safety checks during transit to ensure the integrity of securement. · Follow proper procedures for loading and unloading oversized or overweight equipment. · Maintain compliance with DOT Hours of Service and safety protocols. 3. Documentation & Reporting · Complete pre-trip, post-trip, and in-transit inspections. · Maintain accurate electronic logs and paperwork. · Document any damage, equipment issues, or incidents and report immediately. · Assist with maintaining vehicle and trailer maintenance schedules. 4. Customer Service · Communicate professionally with customers during pickups and deliveries. · Provide exceptional service by ensuring equipment arrives safely and on time. · Represent the company with courtesy, integrity, and professionalism. 5. Equipment Care & Maintenance · Keep truck and trailer clean and well-maintained. · Report maintenance issues promptly and follow company procedures. · Perform minor adjustments or repairs as needed on the road. Required Skills & Qualifications · Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record. · Minimum 2 years experience hauling heavy equipment or oversized loads. · Proven experience with RGN or lowboy trailers required. · Strong knowledge of load securement, FMCSA regulations, and safety protocol. · Ability to operate forklifts, skid steers, or similar equipment for loading (preferred). · Excellent communication and customer service skills. · Ability to work independently while maintaining strong time management. · Physical ability to climb, lift, secure loads, and work outdoors in all conditions. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) · On-time delivery rate. · Zero preventable accidents or securement violations. · Accuracy of logs, paperwork, and inspections. · Customer satisfaction and professionalism. · Proper upkeep and condition of assigned truck and trailer. Work Environment & Physical Requirements · Frequent travel across multiple states with overnight hauls. · Regular lifting up to 75 lbs when securing equipment. · Working outdoors in varying weather conditions. · Climbing onto trailers, equipment, and loads as required.
