Are you ready to take the next big step in your culinary career? Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is looking for a Part-Time Overnight Baker (Commis II) who shares our passion for food is willing to learn from and contribute to our pastry team.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about baking! Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are required in this position. The Baker is responsible for the product creation and production of the baking operation of Café Boulud, Room Service and Banquets in the Hotel. Providing the guests with a selection of fresh bakery products on a daily basis are all part of this exciting position. Working in a creative manner to consistently introduce innovative recipes and to develop your teams’ ability to produce a premium quality product is essential.
We are looking for individuals who have a passion for baking and a keen sense for flavors, color and texture in what they produce. Creativity and flair, the ability to work together with other team members on a daily basis to ensure a flawlessly executed final product and the ability to work harmoniously with co-workers and supervisors is required. This will be an overnight position. Candidates will need to feel comfortable working alone. Excellent communication skills are essential in addition to being trained and certified in safe food handling. The Baker position is required to operate, maintain and properly clean all baking equipment and tools. Position also requires continuous standing for the majority of the shift and the ability to lift up to 50lbs. The ideal candidate will have a can-do approach to any task.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • At minimum 2 years previous baking experience in a fast paced kitchen operation
  • Exceptional communication skills, command of English language
  • Additional language a definite asset for career growth
  • A culinary training degree with a focus on baking and pastry is preferred, but not a must
