QUALIFICATIONS

Tiny Boxwoods Productions require the minimum qualifications required to successfully perform the position of Overnight Bakery Manager.

Qualifications include:

  • Manager Food Handlers certificate
  • Requires 2 years’ experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
  • Requires 3-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Good memory
  • Capacity to multitask.
  • Excellent guest service skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Must have flexible availability in scheduling.
  • Travel if applicable
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Restaurant 365, and Toast
  • Bachelor’s degree or field experience equivalent.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The incumbent is required to stand/walk for long periods of time. Incumbent is regularly required to talk, hear, kneel, push, pull, with occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps. This position is very active and requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and can constantly move around in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

Overnight Bakery Managers care deeply about our culture and will provide a key role in contributing to our guests’ satisfaction. Overnight Bakery Managers prepare pastries to the specifications and standards set by the Executive Pastry Chef and Tiny Boxwoods Productions. An Overnight Manager is expected to prepare pastries in a clean and quick-paced environment. They are also responsible for overseeing individual teams of bakers to ensure timeliness and efficiency within the bakery.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary job duties and responsibilities of being an Overnight Bakery Manager include but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for the production and presentation of pastries and bread
  • Supervises all hourly bakery employees, including leads.
  • Ensures that products are ready by deadline for transport.
  • Ability to train new employees.
  • Contributes to the development of processes, procedures, and protocols within the assigned team.
  • Demonstrate successful organizational timing for pastry and bread preparation for service within scheduled timeframes.
  • Must monitor quality control with assigned teams to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing tasks effectively and quickly.
  • Must be able to maintain a positive attitude and work ethic under stress.
  • Conducts oneself at the highest level and is an example to all staff.
  • Must treat others with respect always.
  • Must adhere to sanitation, safety, and food regulations.
  • Must be reliable and take initiative and be detailed oriented.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance, meeting the ‘Pressed and Tailored’ standard.
  • Able to be a liaison to all restaurants and stores assigned.
  • Gather essential computer items such as invoices, BEO’s, emails, etc. in a timely manner.
  • Contributes or assigned to scheduling employees.
  • Contributes or assigned to interviews/ welcoming of new or potential employees.
  • Maintains and orders what products are needed to run the bakery.
  • Maintains communication through daily logs established by the Executive Pastry Chef and Tiny Boxwoods Productions.
