Job description: Chex Finer Foods, a leading distributor providing specialty and natural products to independent and chain retailers is accepting applications for CDL-A Drivers. Our Truck Drivers are responsible for delivering products to customers. All of our products are dry box delivered. No refrigerated or freezer boxes! Loading and unloading the truck in a safe and timely manner according to Chex Finer Foods procedures, minimizing delays and reporting problems, and picking up supplies and back-hauls from vendors. Perform pre and post trip inspection of their vehicle utilizing knowledge of safe and effective loading and handling procedures. Reviewing paperwork for completeness and accuracy, checking orders for correct number of boxes, correcting addresses, and support documentation, completing timecards, entering trip data into on-board computer, and completing paper logs if necessary. Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities: * Complying with FMCSA regulations * Delivering and unloading products utilizing equipment, including tractor trailer, ramps, lift gates, pallet jacks, load bars, and other devices which assist delivery. 95% of deliveries are dock stops. * Operating vehicle safely within Chex Finer Foods guidelines minimizing accidents, traffic violations, and complaints from the public * Reporting any accident immediately to the Transportation Manager/Department * Keeping vehicles well maintained, safe, and secure, reporting any defects promptly using DCVR form * Picking up supplies and back hauls from vendors while completing related paperwork * Addressing and resolving customer problems as appropriate * Ensuring customer orders arrive in quality condition and correspond precisely to the initial order * Communicating professionally with customers and vendors * Driving routes within the New England and New York area * Weekly overnights required (hotel stay, not sleeper cab) Job Requirements: * Must have solid understanding of receiving and shipping functions and display good time management, computer, and math skills. * 2-3 years of CDL driving experience required. * Must have superior customer service skills as drivers are considered the face of Chex Finer Foods and have frequent contact with customers. * Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds frequently throughout the day. * Must be able to sit for long periods of time. * High school diploma or GED equivalent * Valid medical card as prescribed by the Federal Motor Carrier Administration and a valid state specific Commercial Driver’s License (Class A and CDL Drivers require respective licensing) * Ability to pass a written exam and road test * Basic knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) law and mandates and understanding of Chex Finer Foods’ safety standards * Must be at least 21 years of age * Must hold valid commercial driver's license (CDL) possess with a clean driving record * Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check * Knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic laws * Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines * Strong communication and customer service skills Benefits:   * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * AD&D insurance * Cell phone reimbursement * Dental insurance * Employee assistance program * Flexible spending account * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance   Trucking Driver Type:   * Company driver   Trucking Route:   * OTR * Regional   Work Days:   * Weekdays * Weekends as needed   License/Certification:   * CDL A (Required)   Shift availability:   * Overnight Shift (Required) * Day Shift (Required)   Ability to Commute:   * Mansfield, MA 02048 (Required)   Work Location: In person
