YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:

  • Previous kitchen experience an asset
  • Creative and passionate about food and customer service
  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team player
  • A valid BC Food Safe certification
Responsibilities
  • Consistently offer professional, engaging and proactive service while supporting fellow colleagues on our overnight, graveyard shift
  • Prepare, cook and service all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to hotel recipes and standards
  • Bake-off of breakfast pastries and general mis en place
  • Able to interpret a BEO and will ask superior for guidance
  • Strong knowledge of quantities needed for service and upcoming volumes
  • Able to write a thorough and complete prep list
  • Responding to guest requests and concerns in a personal, prompt and courteous manner
  • Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
  • Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
  • Participating in staff meetings and training
  • Maintaining and ordering stocks and supplies
  • Other duties as assigned
