Main Street Project (MSP) is a community health Centre with a mandate to address the social determinants of health which give rise to issues of addiction, physical and mental health issues and homelessness. MSP uses housing-first and harm reduction principles in the provision of a safe, respectful and accessible place for individuals who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness in the community. POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Community Initiatives, the Overnight Coordinator provides staffing and management support to all MSP program areas employees while maintaining the core values of MSP regarding harm reduction, choice, equity, and diversity to encourage individuals’ capacity building throughout the overnight hours.
The Coordinator provides support to all program areas during the overnight hours, responding to staff needs and crisis as well as administrative (policy administration and compliance etc.) support and in the professional development (training, program compliance, workplace feedback, etc.) of front line staff. Together with a second Night Coordinator, the two cover night shifts over the seven days in the week, overlapping their presence on site over three nights a week.
