Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for Crisis Responders to work overnight (12am-8am ATLANTIC time). We have a full-time position (Monday-Friday) and a part-time position (Saturday and Sunday) open currently.
Chimo is a network centre for the 988 National Suicide Crisis Helpline. 988 is a national phone and text service which provides crisis and suicide intervention 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are looking for caring and compassionate responders to provide support and suicide intervention.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Being a listening ear and providing emotional support;
· Assessing for suicide risk, safety planning and intervention;
· Maintaining anonymity and confidentiality of interactions;
· Keeping up to date with training materials;
· Following policies and procedures;
· Maintaining accurate documentation;
· Engaging in responsive communication;
· Maintaining a positive work environment.
