Overnight Electronic Monitor Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $16.00 FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Department: Operations Reports To: Facility Director Location: Kissimmee, FL Position Overview The Electronic Monitor is responsible for monitoring the movements of clients to help ensure they are acting responsibly and following facility rules. This role supports daily electronic monitoring operations, documentation, equipment tracking, and communication related to client compliance and safety. Key Responsibilities The following duties represent the primary responsibilities of this position. Additional duties may be assigned as operational needs require. * Orient clients and install electronic monitoring devices. * Monitor clients assigned to electronic devices and track daily device activity. * Document alerts, incidents, and required updates in the Electronic Monitoring System. * Inspect equipment for deficiencies and maintain accurate inventory logs for devices in use and storage. * Communicate professionally with staff, partner agencies, and related stakeholders regarding monitoring activity. * Enforce policies, procedures, and operational directives related to electronic monitoring and facility operations. * Prepare accurate reports, logs, and other required documentation. * Support safety, accountability, and compliance by identifying issues and reporting concerns promptly. Required Qualifications Education * High school diploma required. Experience * Must be at least 18 years old. * 2 years of computer experience required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Ability to prepare accurate, concise reports using proper format, grammar, and spelling * Ability to accurately count persons and account for those absent * Ability to search persons and areas and identify/remove contraband * Computer skills to navigate the Electronic Monitoring System and WRIMS and maintain a chronological log of events * Ability to read, interpret, and enforce written and verbal directives * Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in routine and stressful situations Licenses / Certifications * Valid Florida driver’s license required in accordance with Florida statutes. Preferred Qualifications * Four years of experience working with computers, preferably in a correctional setting with clients or criminal justice / at-risk clients * College degree preferred * Related transferable skills from similar roles or environments Work Environment This position may operate in a combination of office, residential program, and community-based environments. Responsibilities may include monitoring client movement, maintaining documentation, managing electronic equipment, and responding to operational issues in a structured setting.
