About the Role: The Evening Janitor plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within our manufacturing facility during the evening hours. This position ensures that all workspaces, common areas, and restrooms are thoroughly cleaned and properly maintained to support operational efficiency and employee well-being. The janitor will be responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks, managing waste disposal, and reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards observed during their shift. By upholding high standards of cleanliness, the Evening Janitor contributes directly to the overall productivity and professional image of the company. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently during non-peak hours to prepare the facility for the next day’s operations. Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting. * Ability to work independently during evening hours with minimal supervision. * Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment operation. * Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications: * Certification in occupational safety or hazardous materials handling. * Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and techniques. * Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards. * Strong communication skills to effectively report issues and coordinate with team members. * Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in previous roles. Responsibilities: * Perform comprehensive cleaning of floors, walls, windows, and surfaces throughout the manufacturing facility. * Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste materials in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations. * Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas to maintain hygiene standards. * Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, and buffers safely and effectively. * Report any maintenance needs, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the facilities management team promptly. * Restock cleaning supplies and ensure all janitorial equipment is maintained and stored properly. * Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while performing cleaning duties. Skills: The required skills enable the Evening Janitor to efficiently and safely perform cleaning tasks that maintain the facility’s cleanliness and safety standards.
