Position Summary The Overnight Lead Certified Medication Technician (Lead CMT) provides high-quality resident care and medication administration under the supervision of the Director of Residential Services while leading the night shift team. Overseeing staff performance, coaching team members, and training new overnight employees. The Lead CMT ensures optimal care delivery, regulatory compliance, and a professional environment during overnight operations. Schedule: This role covers Monday through Friday from 10:00PM to 6:00AM Job Reporting: Reports directly to the Director of Residential Services. Responsibilities: Medication Administration & Resident Care Provide primary care and services to residents under medical supervision. Maintain compliance with state regulations and facility standards. Follow facility medication administration policies. Prepare, administer, and document medications accurately. Verify medication ingestion or application during overnight hours. Ensure new resident medications are physician- or pharmacist-verified. Understand medical terminology and abbreviations. Assist residents with nightly care needs and activities of daily living. Respond promptly to overnight concerns, changes of condition, and emergencies. Assist in emergency evacuations if needed. Overnight Leadership & Department Support Oversee all overnight shift employees to ensure proper workflow and resident care. Provide real-time coaching, guidance, and problem-solving support for night staff. Train new overnight caregivers and CMTs to ensure competency and adherence to facility standards. Monitor performance, professionalism, and teamwork among night shift staff. Ensure tasks are completed, documentation is accurate, and care standards are met throughout the shift. Communicate important overnight updates to the Director of Residential Services and oncoming leadership. Support compliance audits, safety rounds, and quality assurance tasks during the night shift. Promote a calm, organized, and positive environment during overnight operations. Requirements Requirements: Current and valid Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification. Prior experience as a CMT; leadership experience preferred. Experience working overnight preferred. Strong communication and coaching skills. Ability to train and guide night staff effectively. Strong organizational ability and independent decision-making skills. Ability to remain calm and efficient during overnight emergencies.
