Job Description Sika is looking for an experienced Overnight Machine Operator to join its growing team in the Canton, MA area for our Roofing business. The Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring successful operation of their respective part of the M48 spreadcoating line. Their primary function will be to ensure the safe and proper operation of a designated portion of the M48 spreadcoating line. Oversee startup, shutdown, and operation of key pieces of equipment Communicate effectively and in a professional manner with the team Basic troubleshooting of equipment and knowledge of how to handle specific situations/issues Communicate issues and concerns to both maintenance and management Identify hazards and anomalies in the process and communicate them to the appropriate parties Maintain a positive relationship with both Maintenance and Quality Assurance and seek them out when needed Responsible for cleanliness and safe operation of designated work area Daily attendance at a pre-shift starter meeting is required Engagement in SikaSafe safety program required Relieve operators for breaks Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Prior experience with plastics, vinyl coating, lamination or printing production highly desirable Ability to read and write English Good verbal communications skills Understanding of how to use a touch-screen (PLC) production line Ability to lift 50 pounds Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures Ability and willingness to work overtime if required Availability and willingness to cover any shift with prior notification Additional Information 401k with Generous Company Match Bonuses Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits Paid Parental Leave Life Insurance Disability Insurance Paid time off, Paid holidays Floating holidays + Paid Volunteer Time Wellness/Fitness Reimbursements Education Assistance Professional Development Opportunities Employee Referral Program & More!
