REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Dementia
  • DL with Clean Abstract and Own Vehicle for Emergencies (negotiable)
  • Trauma Informed Care Experience or Willingness to Learn Strategies for support de-escalation
  • Good Command of English written and spoken
  • Minimum of one year of caregiving in professional environment
  • Food Safe Required
  • First Aide Required
  • Ability to verbally communicate proper peri-care
  • Non-Smoker of all kinds
  • Willing to provide a holistic approach, employer has a strong emphasis on both natural and wellness

Responsibilities
  • Overnight care as needed
  • Household care and set up for morning care - as outlined including meal and medication administration prep, complete laundry, possibly wash or vacuum floors, tidy kitchen if needed, unload dishwasher, water plants or replenish water or food for wild birds on the deck, dust if time allows
  • Morning support: waking the client, preparing supplements and meals, sponge bath or shower, exercises, personal care, dressing, companionship, laundry, light clean-up, and mobility support
