About The Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Porter to become a part of our vibrant and friendly Hotel team! We are looking for enthusiastic applicants who know how to impress our guests, ensuring a warm, friendly and efficient welcome at every interaction with a hotel guest or visitor. Team players who will provide the highest levels of customer service while ensuring professionalism and efficiencies every time a guest enters the hotel. This part-time permanent role at Sudima Christchurch City requires a minimum of 20 hours per week with the pay rate of $27.25. A full driver's license is required. You need to be flexible and have the ability to work overnight shifts. Responsibilities | Ngā haepapa Providing a warm and welcoming environment within our hotel where everyone feels at home. Assisting with valet parking and luggage. Supporting the Duty Manager with guest requests/tasks Resolve any guest issues promptly and successfully ensuring follow-up and excellent communication at all times Hotel security floor checks Providing local information on Christchurch and the surrounding area Help guests with booking activities, restaurants, and travel options Maintaining a clean and tidy environment in all common areas, both inside and outside the hotel Fix minor technical issues, like changing bulbs, remote control batteries Comply with health and safety regulations and follow emergency evacuation procedures About you | Ko koe tenei Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and overnight shifts. The shifts will be consecutive. Confident, motivated, and dedicated to providing excellent guest service. Professional appearance and strong work ethic. Exceptional attention to detail. Flexible, adaptable, and a team-oriented mindset. Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure. A valid New Zealand driver's license is required; manual driving skills are a plus.
