JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an overnight security guard to join our team to ensure the security of our large industrial unit. This is a newly created position/role to support the ongoing fast-growth of the organisation (Must Have IDEAS).
You’ll be working a 4 night on 4 night off shift pattern, working overnight shifts from 18:00pm till 06:00am. You will be based in the gatehouse with regular patrols in between. You will have to be comfortable working alone.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in security industry 1 year minimum.
• SIA licence either Security guard or Door supervisor and CCTV (MUST HAVE)
• First aid.
• UK drivers licence and own vehicle.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during long shifts.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting incidents clearly. A customer-centric attitude.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making abilities.
• High standard of presentation.
• High standards of punctuality.
• Must be IT literate. High standard

• Monitor and managing extensive CCTV systems to observe and report any suspicious activities or breaches of security from the gatehouse.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect signs of intrusion or irregularities and reporting using our in - house checkpoint system.
• Ensuring that any goods vehicles (deliveries or collections) entering or leaving the site are logged accurately on the relevant system.
• Responding to security alarms and distress calls, as well as informing the emergency services. Calling the police for serious security threats and the fire service for fire related incidents.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
• Maintaining a close liaison with site contacts in relation to any incidents .
• Monitoring, operating and communicating using all forms of equipment such as phones, intercom, radios and emails..
• Supporting the reduction in incidents and H&S breaches and minimising the risk to employees and visitors.
• You will be wearing the company uniform (only) to represent Must Have Ideas to visitors.
