JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced AZ O/O Truck Driver with experience using a Flatbed trailer to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods on a flatbed trailer safely and efficiently through Canada and the USA while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage various types of freight.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
  • Experience in automotive repair is a plus for maintaining vehicle functionality.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment operation is beneficial for loading and unloading freight.
  • Knowledge with Hours of service as well as the Ministry of transportation, National Safety Code, highway traffic act and Department of transportation regulations.
  • Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
  • Good communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.

Responsibilities
  • Operate AZ Commercial trucks to transport freight between locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Load and unload cargo, securing it properly to prevent damage during transit.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding routes, delays, or issues encountered on the road.
  • Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
  • Assist with minor automotive repairs as needed to keep the vehicle in optimal condition.
