Job Description Project Context Upgrading two WWTPs in an industrial park in HCMC province, modifying and expanding existing facilities to reach capacities of 2,800 m³/day and 3,000 m³/day. Includes conversion to A/O processes, SCADA upgrades, electrical enhancements, and construction/commissioning supervision. Key Responsibilities Review and validate design documents, including process designs, PFDs, P&IDs, and hydraulic assessments. Ensure compliance with Vietnamese discharge standards and industrial park requirements. Supervise installation of civil, mechanical, electrical, and process systems on site. Oversee construction to ensure adherence to specifications and quality benchmarks. Monitor SCADA upgrades, instrumentation testing, PLC integrations, and control logic. Supervise commissioning tests, verify performance, and support troubleshooting. Ensure upgraded treatment units achieve required capacities. Identify project risks, propose mitigations, and enforce safety compliance. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, authorities, and operations teams. Prepare technical reports, progress summaries, punch lists, and handover documentation. Contract administration Qualifications Local expert based in Vietnam with knowledge of national wastewater regulations. Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or related Engineering field. At least 20 years’ experience in WWTP engineering, supervision, or operations to meet owners requirements. Experience converting activated sludge to A/O biological treatment. Strong experience with SCADA, electrical systems, transformers, and gensets. Hands-on experience with WWTP expansion, rehabilitation, or upgrades. Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder-coordination skills. Fluency in Vietnamese and English. Willingness to work on-site at HCMC industrial park and travel when needed.
