Description
As a Simulator Developer, you will be responsible for the continuous development of Tigercat’s Forest Harvesting Machine Simulators. This role is responsible to create graphics and software that will run on a simulator platform, providing training for forestry equipment operators. Location: 200 Avenue Road, Cambridge, ON Dedicated Shift: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday - Friday NOTE: This position is in office; Tigercat does not offer this position remotely. Job Duties: Development of forestry equipment training scenarios, designing physically realistic levels and environments as well as implementing physically accurate machine functions in a virtual environment Creation of 3D assets from CAD models Maintenance and improvements of existing code Collaborate with Engineers, Embedded System Developers, sales representatives, dealers, and machine operators to gather requirements, architect, and design full featured training scenarios Educating trainers on using the simulator Travel world-wide to attend trade shows and/or provide training to customers (up to five times per year) Skills and Experience: Collaborate with coworkers; effective communication and reasoning skills are essential when working on projects that involve multiple team members and departments Ability to quickly learn and comprehend new systems Experience with Unity Development environment Strong ability with C# development Experience with game assets (meshes, animations, materials etc.) as well as profiling and optimizing game and render performance (GPU and CPU) Qualifications: Post-secondary education that devoted substantial focus on game development and computer science Formidable understanding of object-oriented design patterns with a robust understanding of physics and mechanism dynamics Strong English written and verbal communication skills Personal interest in electronics, and industrial off-road machines is an asset Demonstration of previous work and portfolio is required
