Job Summary: The Backroom Associate will assemble, move, and place furniture on the showroom floor and be responsible for the backroom function. This role supports the store by loading and unloading containers, pulling orders, prepping furniture orders for shipping and in-home delivery, furniture assembly, and showroom placement and care. This is apart-time position with an estimated 25 hours per week. Responsibilities and Duties Loading and unloading of trucks and containers, and customer vehicles Pull merchandise according to paperwork using company software Wrapping and unpacking furniture and accessories for customer pick-up or shipment Inspect, prep, and assemble furniture and accessories Moving and placement of furniture on the showroom floor Patching and painting showroom walls and display areas if needed Maintaining the aesthetics and function of the showroom and assisting the store manager toward this purpose Assist with inventory control and processes (transfers, receiving, inventory) with company software Keep the backroom, showroom, and common areas clean, including bathrooms and breakrooms Adhering to all safety protocols Permanent or temporary duties as assigned by supervisor Requirements Previous furniture assembly experience preferred Handyman experience a plus Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly for furniture moves High School education or equivalent. Strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures and ability to work independently and with a team. Possess professional and friendly communication and interpersonal skills and should be reliable, punctual, responsible, and organized.
