We are seeking a highly organised and professional Personal Assistant (PA) to the Head to join our dedicated team at Sackville School. This is a pivotal role, providing comprehensive PA support to the Head while ensuring the smooth running of the wider school office administration.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level PA support to the Head, including diary management, correspondence, meeting preparation, and minute taking.
  • Act as the first point of contact for the Head, managing communications with discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate office administration, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the school.
  • Prepare reports, documents, and presentations as required.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, letters, and phone calls.
  • Liaise with staff, parents, governors, and external stakeholders on behalf of the Head.
  • Organise and support key school events and functions.
  • Maintain accurate records, files, and databases.
  • Support HR, admissions, and compliance processes where required.
  • Supervise and coordinate office staff to ensure efficiency and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the welcoming and professional ethos of the school at all times.

About You : We are looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience as a PA, Executive Assistant, or Office Manager (preferably in an education setting).
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask under pressure.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A professional and discreet approach, with absolute commitment to confidentiality.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and external partners.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the demands of a busy school environment.
