Description Position Summary: While working as a Packaging and QC Specialist, you will be tasked with fulfilling duties and performing tasks related to the collection, inspection, and packing of client products. The person in this position will ensure client products meet internal quality standards and accuracy prior to release for shipment. In this position you will have the opportunity to assist with a wide varied set of production tasks in our large format printing division and will have the chance to learn more skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Pack materials and products using tape guns, staplers, and shrink wrap Verify job accuracy by reviewing the work order, artwork, proofs, job dummies, and any other materials provided Update the status of jobs in the computer system to notify the production team when jobs have been completed Regularly check for overlooked and not immediately apparent mistakes such as stock type, color, size, and extra instructions that are not standard Measure, weigh, and count products and materials to ensure clients satisfaction Accurately and informatively mark and label boxes and packages using printed labels, stickers, and documents Inspect products individually to ensure quality and accuracy while removing defective or incorrect products Use a scale to confirm the correct quantity of items as determined on the work order Package and shelf each job differently depending on its disposition Coordinate with managers and the shop to determine what jobs need to be ready for delivery and when Sort out packaging mistakes, errors in jobs, and unforeseen circumstances Coordinate with managers to handle changing deadlines, delivery methods, and “surprise jobs” Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance Other duties as assigned Nonessential Duties and Responsibilities Work on job assignments in other departments as instructed. Requirements Qualifications: Must be respectful, energetic, trustworthy, detail-oriented and highly motivated! High School Diploma or GED preferred Must have reliable transportation Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, and be on your feet for 8 hours Must be able to interface and effectively communicate with our team.
