As a Packaging Employee, you’ll support daily production by preparing, inspecting, labeling, and packaging finished products while following all food safety and quality requirements. As part of the Lakeside family, you’ll enjoy a comprehensive and affordable benefits package.   Benefits include: Quality, affordable medical insurance Dental coverage 401(k) with company match Company‑paid life, short‑term, and long‑term disability insurance Paid time off, including vacation and holidays Perfect attendance and employee referral programs Product discounts through the company store   What You’ll Do Prepare finished products for packaging by clipping, peeling, delinking, and feeding product into packaging equipment Properly place product into thermoforming packaging equipment according to specifications Apply labels accurately, verifying correct product, weight, and date information Box finished product following established case pack specifications Maintain accurate production and quality records Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety requirements (HACCP, SQF) Assist with sanitation and housekeeping at the end of production runs Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Notify leadership of any safety, quality, or equipment concerns   What You’ll Bring Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced production environment Basic math skills for counting and recordkeeping Prior food manufacturing or meat processing experience preferred (training provided) Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus   Physical & Work Environment Ability to stand for extended periods (8–10 hours per shift) Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs regularly Repetitive hand and wrist motions during packaging tasks Work in a refrigerated, USDA‑inspected food production environment (PPE required and provided)   Where You’ll Work: Welcome to Manitowoc With 20 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline, beautiful beaches, maritime history, and vibrant community events, Manitowoc–Two Rivers offers a great place to live and work while enjoying the benefits of a stable manufacturing career.   Lakeside Foods and our family of companies welcomes people of all backgrounds and the varied ideas they bring to the workplace.
