We are seeking a skilled and innovative Packaging Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing packaging solutions to ensure product quality, sustainability, and cost-efficiency. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with production, design, logistics, and marketing teams to achieve packaging excellence.
The ideal candidate will also be responsible for equipment development and design. We are seeking a candidate that optimize the packaging in the machine by understanding the needs of both parts of the packaging system.

Requirements:

  • Design and develop innovative packaging solutions that meet product, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct packaging material evaluations, testing, and selection to ensure durability and compliance with industry standards.
  • Optimize packaging processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and meet sustainability goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, operations, logistics, and marketing) to integrate packaging solutions into production workflows
  • Analyze packaging costs and develop strategies for cost reduction without compromising quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, legal, and environmental regulations pertaining to packaging.
  • Manage packaging-related projects from concept to implementation, including prototyping and testing
  • Provide technical expertise to resolve packaging challenges and improve performance.
  • Is familiar with product lifecycle management and product data management to drive documented long-term solution.
  • Possess problem solving skills to understand and co-ordinate team during machine commissioning, installation, and debugging.
  • Strong leadership with the ability to influence decisions across production, engineering, quality, and maintenance activities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging engineering, mechanical engineering or a related field
  • 5-8 years of experience in packaging design and engineering, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in packaging software and tools, Auto Cad, Solid Works
  • Experience with packaging sustainability initiatives
  • Strong understanding of ISTA and ASTM standards
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Strong Analytica, problem solving and communication skills
  • Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt experience is a strong plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team oriented environment.
